FRESHWATER

The 6-month project of 21 Surfers Parade involved the complete demolition of a previous structure, building of a new house with landscaping. This home is the true ideal form of a traditional beach house design, with a fully modern design built on pylons with the latest structural innovations.

This home was well designed to fit the environment around it. The house is a real architectural character study. It has a traditional look, but also has a wide range of the most modern features. The three bedroom home has a downstairs study and large ensuite for the main bedroom, with additional main bathroom, and a double remote controlled garage.

Interior features include large hardwood floors, lots of window space, extensive balconies, and tiling. The design also has a gigantic built-in robe, for the main bedroom and still has plenty of floor space in the living areas.

This home is also an excellent example of great use of space on a typical suburban size block. The design is very clean, allowing lots of external space preserved for quality of life and amenities. Its ideal beach house design has spawned many copies, the ultimate compliment.

12 Surfers Parade needed a complete renovation. This was a very old home, with classic 100 year old existing sandstone walls. The lower ground floor had deteriorated to the point of being uninhabitable. It was a treasure of a place, needing the respect and dedication of good restoration work to make it the home it was meant to be.
